how does one become an interior designer?how to be an interior designer- very, very big question in our world. of course there are educationalinstitutions which will give you the education that you needin order to become an interior designer. it will teach you all the aspects in terms of executing projects, where tofind sources, how to do space planning, how to use computer-assisted design. however there are many more aspects tobecoming an interior designer. you have to learn to be a psychologist.you have to learn to be able to
function and interact with many, manydifferent people on many levels. you have the subs that we work with on projects.we have the clients that we work with. we have many resources that we work with.all those things have to be taken into consideration. not to mention the fact that you need toknow about business, accounting. you also need to be aware of marketing andnetworking. and we also have to make sure that you are constantly aware of thedesign process and the business process. so many, many aspects to it; many, manyareas that you need to research, study and go out there and find theinformation that you need. and i would suggest, since i fall into thisrole often, is to find a mentor.
